Mr Monkey opens a job center. Many animals are coming.

First, the dog says:Mr Monkey. I’m a singer. But they don’t like my songs. What can I do?The monkey says: Mr Dog. You’re brave. You can catch thieves. You can be a good policeman.”“Yes! You’re right!Says the dog.

Next, the elephant says:Mr Monkey. I’m a dancer. But I’m too fat. What can I do?The monkey says: Mr Elephant. You are strong. You can wash the roads with your nose. You can sweep the floor with your tail. You can make our city clean and beautiful. You can be a good cleaner.”“OK!The elephant is happy now.

A lot of animals find good jobs.

Teaching Steps

Step1 Warm-up/Review

1.Let’s chant

T: Hello, children.

Ss: Hello, Cherry!

T: It’s a little cold today. So first let’s chant, OK?

Ss: OK!

T: Stand up, please.

Ss: Stand up, stand up.

What’s your father? What’s your father? He’s a doctor. He’s a doctor. He is a great doctor.

What’s your mother? What’s your mother? She’s a teacher. She’s a teacher.

She’s a super teacher!

2. Look and say

T: What’s this woman?(教師指著chant中的女士)

S1: She’s a teacher.

T: Good. What’s this woman? (課件依次出示已學職業:nurse,driver, farmer, baseball player)

Step2 Presentation/Practice

1. Present

a. policeman

T: What’s this black cat?

S1: He is a policeman.

T: Great. The cat is a policeman.教師出示policeman單詞,并朗讀,張貼黑板。

T: What do you think of this black cat?

S1.2.3: He’s… / He can… .

教師讓學生自由發揮,當說到抓小偷時出示詞卡catch thieves(課件出示相應圖片配合教學)等學生正說到盡興時老師隨即說:They’re brave.拿出單詞brave朗讀并張貼  

教師讓學生看著黑板描述:The policeman can catch thieves. He is brave.

b. …can be… .

T: Who’s brave in our class?

S1: … is brave.

T: You are brave. You can be a ploiceman.(老師指著學生說出的勇敢的學生。)

教師出示句型“… can be… .”朗讀并張貼。

c. singer and dancer

T: I have another picture. What do you think of this girl?

S: She is/ has… . She can… .

T: You are right. She can sing songs well. She can be a singer.(出示單詞singer)

T: Who can be a singer in our class?

S1: … .

T: Why?

S1.2.3: Because he/ she… .

T: What about this beautiful girl?

S: She’s a dancer.

T: Good. She is a beautiful dancer. She can dance well.(出示單詞dancer)

T: Who can be a dancer?

S2:… .

T: Why?

S1.2.3: Because he/ she… .

d. cleaner

T: What about this young man? What can he be?

S: He can be a cleaner.

T: Yes. 教師出示單詞cleaner, 朗讀并張貼。

T: If you are a cleaner. What can you do?(教師讓學生說出多種形式的清潔工打掃方式)

T: Year, you can be a cleaner, you can make our city clean and beautiful, right?

Ss: Yes.

e. job

T: Cleaner, dancer, singer, policeman, they’re jobs.

教師出示job單詞,并朗讀。

f. job center

(教師先點課件,再出示猴子圖片) T: Mr Monkey opens a job center. 教師出示job center詞卡,并朗讀,張貼于黑板。T: What animals are coming?

3. Present the story

a. Listen and present two animals.

T: Take out your paper. Listen and enjoy the story.

T: Finished? Answer my question: What animals are coming?

S1: The dog and the elephant are coming.

T: You’re right. 教師拿出兩圖片,貼于黑板。

b. part 1

T: Look at the dog. What’s the dog? Let’s read the first part and answer the question.(課件出示這段文章)

S1: The dog is a singer.

T: Good. What can the dog be? Read the first part again.

S2: The dog can be a policeman.

T: Why? You can discuss this question in groups.OK(課件打出這三個問題,依次回答)

Ss: OK!學生再讀第一段

T: Finished? Why the dog can be a policeman?

Answer: Because he can catch thieves. He is brave.

T: Can you read the first part? Read it , please.

T: Who can be monkey? Who can be dog?(分發兩頭飾)

T: We read the other part. (教師眼睛指向其余學生)

c. part 2

T: Next the elephant is coming. What’s the elephant? What can the elephant be? Why?

Let's read the second part. You can discuss in groups.學生自讀第二段

T: Who can answer my question?

Answer: The elephant is a dancer. He is strong. He can be a cleaner. Because he can wash the roads with his nose. He can sweep the floor with his tail. He can make our city clean and beautiful.

T: Great! Who can be monkey? Who can be elephant?(分發兩頭飾)

T: We read the other part. (教師眼睛指向其余學生)

d. the last

T: At last, a lot of animals find good jobs.

e. Look and say the story

T: Wonderful, children. Let’s look at the blackboard. Remember the story.

The dog is a singer, but they don't like his songs. What can he do? He can catch thieves. He’s brave. He can be a policeman.

The elephant is a dancer, but he’s too strong. What can he do? He can wash the roads with his nose. He can sweep the floor with his tail. He can make our city clean and beautiful.

T: Great. Can you read the story together?

Ss: Yes.

f. present other animals, prepare for the next step

結尾處TSuch as duck, pig, bird, rabbit and so on.(省略號后面出現另外幾種動物:duck, pig, bird, rabbit)

Step3 Extension/ Consolidation

1.Talk about other animals

T: What can they do? What can they be? Let’s act it out.

教師帶上Bee頭飾示范:Hello. Boys and girls. I’m Butterfly. I have two beautiful swings. I’m small and smart. I can sing. I can drive a car. What can I be? Who can help me?

Ss: You can be… .

T: I can be a singer and a driver. Sounds good. Thank you.

T: It’s your turn. Choose one of the animals, using these sentences.(課件出示使用句型:I’m… . I have… . I can(with) … . I can be… . ) Say it in groups. Got it?

Ss: Yes!學生分組操練,并進行小組示范

2. Sum up

T: Everyone can have a good job, if they know what they can do.(如果每個人都知道自己的長處,那么大家都可以找到一份稱心如意的工作。)

If you like singing. You can be a singer. If you like dancing. You can be a dancer.

If you can sweep the floor, wash the roads and… . You can make our country clean and beautiful. You can be a cleaner. If you can catch thives. Yop can make our counrty asfety. You can be a ploiceman. If you like teaching and you can teach. You study hard. You can be a teacher… .(邊說邊播放課件,讓學生欣賞,帶有總結意味) Just like Cherry.

3. Homework

T: I like English. I can teach children. I can be an English teacher. TWhat about you?

T: Here’s the homework. Say something about yourself. You can use these sentences: I’m… . I can… . I can be… .

After class, you can talk about it to your friends.(你可以使用這些句型說說你自己,課后和你的朋友們交流。)

T: I hope you can find a good job one day.You must study hard everyday!
